Penei's Bio
She is a hopeless romantic with over 30 years of experience in the wedding business
(Beach Weddings Hawaii).  Penei (pronounced "pen-Nay") is also deeply spiritual.  she believes marriage is a serious matter, not to be taken lightly, but feels that humor is an essential element in any successful relationship.  Performing marriages is a calling - a calling from the heart, and she puts her whole heart and soul into every service.

A professional singer, who plays  guitar and ukulele, she specializes in love songs, both English and Hawaiian. For the purposes of a wedding, though, she prefers to sing and chant A Capella, without accompaniment.

Hawaiian culture and traditions are extremely important to her.  Although a "haoli," her Hawaiian friends say, "We put you behind one coconut tree, you sound like one brown skin wahine." She is dedicated to spreading the spirit of aloha. Most of her life has been spent serving people of all ages.

Working with both the elderly, as a music therapist, and with children, as a music teacher, her purpose has been to seek and spread love, peace, harmony, and joy in every situation. An eternal optimist, she no longer apologizes for being a called a "Pollyanna."  (Really, we're not kidding here.  How many times do we say, "Did we catch you healing the world again?")

Penei has a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University.  She is the mother of two children, Tira and Tyler, and she is the Grandmother of  Hunter, Hayden, Paisley and Porter (born December 2009). Did we mention that Penei is athletic (Penei Skydiving Photos)? Her beloved late husband, Bruno Geba, will always remain in her heart. Dard and Penei were married at Pu'uhonua O Honauna on January 11, 2004.
